So.... I've ran into a big problem lately. My ever growing camera arsenal just doesn't fit into ONE camera bag anymore. I've been lugging around 3 bags for over a year now. Toting all these bags on one shoot is quite tiring (not to mention makes me look like a pack mule). Gone are the days (for me) of the cute girly Kelly Moore bags... and I'm okay with that. While I love my Kelly Moore bags, they just aren't big enough. I use ALL of my lenses during one shoot, so I like to have everything on me. Sometimes you just gotta be practical. This year I will be traveling more for weddings and engagements. This really pushed me to find a better option for storing and carrying my gear. I really wanted a rolling case to relieve the stress off my shoulders from carrying bags. I researched Think Tank and while this company is the Top Dog for rolling cases, I was not ready to drop $300+ for one bag. After further investigation, I found Domke rolling cases and my jaw literally dropped at the price! I purchased the Domke Rolling Propack 220 for $99.99 from B&H. That's a 1/3 of the cost of a Think Tank bag!
I went from this:
To this!
.... And everything fits!
2 pro DSLR bodies, 4 lenses (one 70-200mm), 2 580ex flashes, pocket wizards, external battery pack, spare batteries, an LED light and etc. fit into this bag! There is also slot for my laptop. This bag also comes with a tripod bag to strap on the outside of the case if desired. I am overall pleased with the quality and durability of the Domke 220. If you're looking for a more affordable option to Think Tank, I'd HIGHLY recommend this brand. For all you pack mules out there, give your back a break and get a rolling case. I hope you find this blog post helpful!
